The Gunsight Saloon
Probably our favorite stand-by eatery in Columbia Falls. The Gunsight Saloon is an "order at the front" establishment. In peak season the line just to order can be long, but in the down time, like late October tends to be, you'll probably be the only group in line. Their foods are American BBQ style. Jeremy favors their Prime Rib special and Danielle's hands-down favorite is the wedge. They have house-made Old Fashioneds on-tap, but watch out, those things are potent!
If Gunsight is our overall favorite, Vaqueros is the runner up. The service at Vaqueros is grand! If you're not sure what you want, your waiter is guaranteed to be knowledgeable and will offer their favorite suggestions. We always end up satisfied to overflowing. Jeremy's favorite here is the Camarones Apretalados and Danielle still hasn't found one singular favorite but recommends the Enchiladas Tricolor for sure!
In our opinion, Mambo is the premier Italian dining experience in the entire Flathead Valley. We can tell you two things about the place from our experiences there: 1) We've always had a significant wait time in the busy season so we recommend you pack your patience with you before you go and 2) We like practically everything on the menu that we've tried, and want to keep going back to try even more!
